Templates

Save reusable moderation messages and apply them with a single argument across warns, mutes, kicks and bans.

1

Create a template

In the dashboard, go to Configuration > Templates and add a name, reason text and optional DM body. Templates keep your team consistent when handling common situations.

2

Use variables

Include placeholders like {user}, {reason}, {duration} and {moderator}. Nighthawk replaces these automatically when the template is applied to a case.

3

Apply from commands

Use template:<name> in any command to auto-fill the reason and optional DM body. For example, n!warn @user template:spam applies your spam template instantly.

4

Share across your team

Templates are stored per server and shared across your whole moderation team. Any moderator with permission can use them, so everyone stays on message.

5

Edit or delete templates

Update templates as your rules evolve. Old cases keep the text they were created with, so your audit trail remains accurate even after a template changes.
