Watchlist network

Some users hop from server to server causing the same trouble. The Watchlist lets opted-in communities report users they banned for serious offences into one shared network, so the next community is warned before the damage is done.

What you get

  • Reports aggregate into low, medium and high confidence tiers
  • Reports gain weight once a community has shared for 7 days
  • Per-tier enforcement: alert, kick, ban or ignore
  • Built-in dispute system reviewed by the Nighthawk team

How it works

Opt in from the dashboard: choose whether to check joining members against the network, and whether to share your own reports. Sharing only ever sends the user ID, a category and your reason, never your community’s name.
Confidence rises as more established communities report the same user. One new report is low confidence; several weighted reports, or reports for raiding, CSAM or malware, push it higher.
Pick what happens per tier: alert your moderators, kick, ban or do nothing. Your moderators can also share a ban to the Watchlist with one click when they run n!ban.
If an entry is wrong, the flagged user can file a dispute on a public page. The Nighthawk team reviews every dispute and strikes false entries from the network.
