Welcome & persistence
First impressions and second chances. Nighthawk welcomes new members with your own message and roles, and remembers who had what, so leaving and rejoining neither resets a regular nor frees someone from a mute role.
What you get
- Welcome message in a channel or a DM, with an optional embed
- Join roles handed out automatically
- Roles and nickname restored when a member rejoins
- Works with the verification gate instead of around it
How it works
Write the welcome message with variables such as the member’s name and your server name, add an embed if you like, and pick where it goes. It can wait until the member passes verification, so raiders never get a greeting.
Role persistence saves a member’s roles when they leave and puts them back when they return. Active mutes are put back on rejoin whether persistence is on or not, so leaving is never a way out of a punishment.
The unverified holding role is never restored, and a gated member only gets their roles back once they verify, so persistence can never be used to skip the gate.
